KZN Fishing is pleased to announce its Second Winter Showdown. KZN Winter Showdown 2011 is set for the 30 July 2011 at Warner Beach.
Please take note of the following very significant difference. Only registered members on the KZN Fishing Website may compete in this event. No Registrations will be done on the day of the event. You will have to register on the website, via the application system which will be introduced on the website soon. If you are not a member on the website, we urge you to register now, so that you can enter this competition.MANCO members will be allowed to enter. Those MANCO members who are measurement officials not fishing will be allocated points for their sacrifice,
Note 1.0 All KZN members that are fishing the league will automatically allocated 5 bonus points if they enter the Winter Show Down 2.0 MANCO members that are measurement officials will be alloated a further 10 points.

This Competition will be run on the following basis:
1. Only KZN Fishing registered members will be allowed to enter the Competition 1. Only Pre Registered PAID Entrants will be allowed to fish on the day. 2. There will be NO Registrations on the day of the Competition 3. Prize money will be based on a POOL system with a 30% Administration allocation to KZN Fishing 4. Closing Date for payments to reflect in KZN Banking Account will be 23 July 2011. 5. All entries will close on the 23 July 2011 6. Final Prize Money will be announced on the 26 July 2011. 7. Entry Fee is R100 for all entrants 8. Add R10 for cash deposits and R5 for EFT 9. Banking Details KZN Fishing Standard Bank Branch: 045626 Account: 051921588 10. Competition Rules
1. National Conservations Rules apply at all times. 2. Catch & Release will be implemented at all times. 3. No Gaffing of Fish Allowed. 4. Only one rod can be used at a time. 5. A maximum of two hooks per trace are permitted. No treble hooks allowed. 6. Official Fishing Times: 7:00am to 1:00pm 7. Only catches measured by an official will be recorded. 8. Only catches hooked and landed between designated fishing times will be recorded. 9. All competitors must possess a valid fishing permit and bait license (if necessary), and will be required to present this when collecting Score cards, Rules etc. At the official table 10. Live bait: There are no restrictions on Live Baits, however if a fish is utilized for live bait it will not account for points in the competition. 11. You will only be allowed to fish within the demarcated area. 12. Protected species will not count for points 13. All fish will be released without harm; your hook snood must be cut off if the hook is not easily removable 14. Any infringement of MCM rules will mean immediate disqualification 15. Judges decision is final. 16. There will be a penalty given to any angler leaving his/her fishing spot with litter. This will be adjudicated by the administrator of the competition and their decision on this will be FINAL.
