After a good 2011 program we have learnt a few lessons. We hope that some of the lessons learnt have been included in this years calender. It has been decided to vary the calender this year. We have included a group of League and Non League Events for the Year 2012. CHANGES TO 2012 LEAGUE EVENT The 2012 League event will be changed . Entrance fee will be R100.00 per angler per event. The entrance fee will be used as follows - Forty percent will be retained by KZN fishing for admin and general site costs .
- The Balance of sixty percent will be retained as an accumulated lump sum prize purse for the finals in December 2012.
- The lump sum will be awarded to the top three in the ratio of 60:30:10
- Note only the top ten will compete in the finals
None paying entrants are welcome to participate in these events and will be given separate score cards for bragging rights. Note your scores will not be tallied.
KZN LEAGUE EVENTS.
The League will consist of the following • 7 League events with a 1day final in December 2012. The venues will only be finalised a week before the event. • There will also be an internal competition based on your choice of strengths. More details are provided in the Rules Tab SCORING AND POINTS ALLOCATION
• Measuring will be done by fellow members
• Minimum fish size will apply to ALL entrants (i.e Edibles – min 25cm and In-edibles – No Minimum Size). Note the new scoring is as indicated on the League Tab under Rules
• The top 10 entrants after the 7 qualifying events will be invited to a trip to fish the finals at the end of the year. The finals will be held at a local venue over 1 day. The Prizes will be announced in due course. KZN NON LEAGUE EVENTS This section will allow for our various members to contribute their organisational ability to host events. KZN management will assist and play a role in these events. These events are for fun, teaching and socializing. The aim is to provide a platform where the novice angler can fish with experienced anglers. They can gain knowledge with out the fear of competition. We sincerely hope that these events will also take our anglers to destination they will enjoy.We will add to the event list as members decide. Please refer to the calender for planned events.
